How to Judge Duplicate Pen Drive / Fake Pen Drive

You may heard about 32GB USB drive 200Rs, 16GB Pen Drive 100Rs, 8GB 50Rs. But these are not at all true. Because in such drives, most of them does not work properly. According to the capacity of the Pen drive companies are not selling those for cheap. The pen drives which you purchased in electronic shop, some of them are cheat able one.

Few methods to judge:

1. The company logo present on the duplicate Pen Drive will get erased if you scratch it with a nail. But if it is original pen drive then the logo remains as it is.

2. The duplicate Pen Drives are light in weight compare to original Pen Drives because duplicate Pen Drives are manufactured by using plastic.

3. If you observe keenly, the packing of fake Pen drive, it won't look as original one. It looks as if it is packed at home.

4. Before purchasing it, connect it to the computer and check when the Pen Drive gets connected then it should show the company name in the system tray. Then immediately the Pen Drive  gets installed in the computer. Then you need to go to my computer. Then you can see new Pen Drive  which is a Pen Drive. You have to right click on it and the click on format option. You have to select quick format by start. Then again right click on properties and see the used space. For example, if you purchase 4GB Pen Drive then free space will be 3.74GB.

5. Copy any data in the Pen Drive and then check the data in the Pen Drive and then check the data in the drive. If the Pen Drive is duplicate then it will show error that it is corrupted.

Judge your Pen Drive using  software:

Not only manually, you can even check the status of Pen Drive automatically. For this H2testw software is used. The Zip format file can be extracted without the installation process EXE files can be run. The software opens in Dutch language and the window to open in English language you need to select it and change. Then select target and connect it to PC. Then select Pen Drive. Due to this, it will show data free space in data valuation Box. For checking the Pen Drive working or not, you need to write data in Pen Drive then click write+verify. If the Pen Drive is fake, after completing the text it will give warning message. If it is original, then it won't show any warning message.

How to maintain Pen Drive Safe :

You can keep a password tp your drive, so that no one can use it. Therefore, without your permission, no file can enter into your Pen Drive. In this manner you can avoid virus files. By using USB write protector you can use this feature just to extract the EXE file and run it. Select English in the window. For not allowing data into the Pen Drive, you need to select USB Write protection On. To copy Data into Pen Drive use USB Write Protection OFF. 

If you want no one to access your Drive then you can look your Drive using 'USB Safe Guard. So due to this though you lost the Pen Drive, your important information won't be miss used. It saves the data in encrypt method.
